The academic year in Finland starts in late August/early September and ends in late May. It consists of two semesters, the autumn and spring semester. The academic year at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences is split into four study periods. Exams will be arranged at the end of each period, but there are no special exam weeks. When booking your flights, please note that lessons and exams will continue until the end of each semester and you are expected to stay until the end of the semester.
